| Not to obsess about voting (ahem), but have you noticed that as the number of votes increase, the tendency for a vote to alter the percentage is smaller? I guess that's expected mathematically, but it's interesting to see it in action. It would now take a series of high or low votes to dramatically alter anyone's score, correct? |

Talk about seeing that in action ... I've dropped from a 6.411 at 146 votes to a 6.2695 at 167, a 5.28 average over the last 21 votes. Not complaining, mind you (how could I with a 6+!), but it is rather strange to see such an extended change in the voting pattern this late in the voting. I suppose it could be downward adjustments in prior scores, but I'm thinking its just the usual Wednesday downturn by voters getting a first look at their open challenge scores!
Edit to add: OK, I take that back ... no real change in the pattern. Went back and saw that I was at 6.2857 after 84 votes, so a 6.2695 at 167 is right on track! :>)

| well this kinda sucks.... averaging 5.2 atm.. Meanwhile my first picture scored 5.4 and it sucked bigtime. This picture i actually like and its doing worse than my sucky picture! whats going on here :S Only 1 comment too. |

Instantly dropping the Brownberry, rushes to the mirror and stares in complete horror at the odd formation which upon closer inspection appears to be...

Is there a way to see the votes while people are still voting? I noticed someone said that someone gave them a two, without a comment. How did they know they got a two?

My first attempt at Selective Desat...and it shows in the votes! Ugg! But hey, I gave it a try at least!
Actually all of the comments (12 so far) say the same thing that I would have said so I'm fine with it. I'm learning, I'm learning!
Hopefully, I won't make my own personal worst....:( |

You know those all-to-common, slightly self-deluded posts where people don't understand why their photos aren't getting votes as high as deserved? They usually include some sort of disclaimer, like "I know it's not a top twenty, but...."
Well, I know my photo isn't a top 20, but JEEZ. ;-)
EDIT: I'm sorry, did I say 192 votes, 5.6354 average? I meant 193 votes, 5.6269 -- {sigh} and so it goes.
