It was my first and worst... I forgot that i had submitted that over there... it has been there for about 3 weeks I guess...

John,
A pretty good shot none the less; if you let your modesty cloak drop a little, you should agree.
Congratulations.
You should submit the bridge shot also - that should do very well.

Congrats John !!!
I did submit some photos there and they have not been picked .. even if I thought they were good ;-)
I have a bestfoto question .... when you submit, the photo remains submited for several weeks or is it valid the next day only ?
Do you get an email if your photo is picked ? ( I try to look everyday but then would miss it sometimes ... if one day *sigh* my photo is choosen)

Lionel, I'm not sure how it works, but it is good for some amount of time... I submitted one photo in september that got chosen in october's contest....

Most of mine have been picked within the week that I submitted them.
If you ever miss the day you can look at the archives to see the old photos.
By the way, congrats John !
If yours is bad then what should i think of mine that DIDN'T get picked?
At least we aren't competing in the category...lol

I usually don't submit to the open category, but that is an infrared shot. I have found that many people don't understand those... It's tough to get on at bestfoto... they have pretty much the same winners there over and over... :)
