DAY 16
AUSTRALIA. NSW. PICTON ...

my internet should be fixed on tuesday which is another 3 days ... i'm at my boyfriends place and i've only got the time to put yesterday and today in before we go out ..
we've finally had bucket loads of rain ... it is just so beautiful around here right now with all the green pastures etc etc ... i can no longer makes excuses for my photography that everything is so ugly and unattractive!! ...
these are two shots of our dam after the rain .. i've put the two in altho they are very similar because of the different processing it did, just for interest sake ....

DAY 17
sue/ IVORY asked what the firetrail was coz so many of my photographs are taken from it ... i live on land that borders the burragorang national park which incorporates the sydney water catchment area .. this firetrail and others, not only give accesss to the water catchment area, but allow heavy equipment and the firefighters into the national park .. hence the name firetrail!! .. the firetrail is called the sheays creek firetrail and it goes right past my front door... i feel very blessed that i live where i do and have such beauty around me ..
these two photos are taken from the firetrail looking into a paddock that is at the top of our road ... our road dead ends at the national park ...

Fredericksburg is famous for Carl's. They make the best Shakes and sundaes around. They are only open from the middle of Feb until November so once it opens you know Spring can't be far behind. Now is the time (even though it is only 20 degrees) to go since during the late spring and summer there is almost always a line around the place.

Hi Where-You-Live Friends - you all have seen this picture of my lovely car:

Well, today I was driving along when a Kia came shooting out of a side street and did this:

I went spinning on a six lane street and through some blessed miracle, there was no oncoming traffic, or I'd probably be toast now. My neck and shoulder hurt where the seatbelt tightened. And the left side of my body hurt from being torqued during the spins.

Obviously it wasn't my fault. The driver, a 20 year old woman, didn't apologize or even make an attempt to see how I was while we were waiting for the police and then for the report process. Oh well. I now have a rental and am very grateful that I am not hurt. I'm thinking it will take a few weeks for my car to be repaired. Other than the visible damage, I don't know if there are problems with the axle and other invisibilities. Keep your fingers crossed that it will be totally repairable.

I checked out a new (to me) S3 Pro today, : ) so have a couple hundred images to sort thru. : P
It is supposed to be near freezing here tonight, so I spent a couple of hours shooting today before frost turns everything brown. I can always work tomorrow, but images do not wait. My comments must be brief tonight, as I need to rest, and there are a huge number of new images posted tonight. Enjoy, and thanks everyone.

Well, this is more along the lines of "Where I Work" instead of "Where I Live," but it'll have to do. This time of year, I barely have time to eat lunch nevermind get out with the camera. Maybe now that it's the weekend...

Day 15. Getting Caught up.

I found a picture of a post card that was mailed in 1913. It shows Unioin Station as it was then. I thought it was pretty cool. Here's a link.//www.oldlouisville.com/postcards/Louisville/UnionStation1.htm

Day 17 - Brothel, Huntingdale, Victoria, Australia

Told you this challenge has expanded my local knowledge...

Since beginning this challenge I have unearthed three brothels in the industrial area surrounding my home.

This one I already knew about - it's JUST over the bridge from my home on a major road.

Tonight I thought I'd record and share a moment in time outside this brothel called the N.T Club.

Day 16
This is an old school building built in the 1920's in Flint, MI.

Day 17
This is the same building. It's covered with all the cool graffiti. I keep finding this stuff and I have to get a shot of it. I love the colors they use and the different styles.
