i totally agree with you guys,
i 've been swamped with work but i still managed to get entries.
next season we will make sure for that to be a requirement.
we'll have a rotation or something where 4 members have to submit, and if someone can't make it, he should inform the others.
but anyway that was a learning experience for me:)

i am a bit dispoited in my free study it's sitting at 5.57, i was expecting to score higher.but oh well , one day i am getting that ribbon:)

i think its stable , occasionaly going up by a 0.1 or 0.2 then going down by the same amout.i am def. not complaining.
what about you guys?

I have one in for Free Study and Diagonal and they are both below 5. I am getting hit pretty hard.

it's allright, i 've been there, i am thinking at the end of every challenge we should comment on each others pics so that we know what we did wrong or what would have been better, or perhaps another way of processing the image.
what do you guys think?

my free study is still hanging on to the 6.12 3 more days to go and hopefully that will be my first 6 :)

well my death pic just started @ 5.65, i am hoping it is going to be like my free study and go up , and not like the rest of my pics where it's starts the downward spiral. free study still maintaining the 6.1 AND got a fav! wish all of us good luck!

the free study shot end with 6.2215, 81/501 not bad at all, i am happy with my score.
my death shot thought went down from 5.9 to 5.54 but it seems everyone in the challenge is suffering the same fate we'll see. as for this week i am planning to participate in the pet portrait and the sky.i have a gret idea for dirt but i am not sure how to implement it , as of lately, this has been my main problem lack of "technical" experience especially in the lighting part.

DPC is a bit unique in the photo contest community. The images that I enter here score poorly (5+) but are winning ribbons on other sites. For example, I have 13 blue ribbons on DailyAwards.com and cumulative average around 7.4. At DPC the average is about 5.4. I don't know why there is such a difference! A 6+ score at DPC is a darned good photo!

quick update,

my death pic is still hanging on to 5.6. from the thread i 've been reading it seems everyone is suffereing in this challenge so i guess i have to wait and see.

i am submitting 2 pics , one in the sky challenge and one in the pet challenge.i had an idea for dirt but i just don't know how to implement it.

bob if you are still interested, i would like to take a look at your free study pic and see what i can do with it, so let me know.
