Glad to hear you have made it back safely. It's a shame about your gear :(

Whatever meditations on life you set out to ponder, I'm sure you got more than you bargained for! If your ponderings had anything to do with wondering where you belong, who loves you, and whether you matter...you surely have your answer now. You belong here, your friends and family obviously love you and you matter to a whole host of folks. Welcome home.

Welcome back, Steve. Glad to hear you are well.
It must be quite a sensation knowing you have so many friends.
Now, just keep those beautiful images coming.

I'll second this.

Glad you made it back ok, even if without the camera.

I am impressed with your survival skills, that's for sure.

Now, what's missing from this story is the pictures of the bearded (and scruffy) adventurer!

Steve, glad to hear about your safe return! Sorry to hear about your camera and car, but at least you made it back. You are a true Survivorman.

Great to have you back Steve, I don´t wanna seem callous about your "dissapearance" but I didn´t really take it too seriously, I always had a gut feeling something like this had happened and you´d turn up, unharmed, and soon.

Sorry to hear about your camera but hey, look on the bright side, you are alive and well, all limbs attached and now have a great story to tell at the bar, might even get you one on the house! :P

Steve, I am grateful that you are home safe and sound. You owe Daryl and Tina more than you might ever be able to repay.

We can put a tracking collar on him.

...or one of those fancy lil' electronic ankle bracelets! ;)

Glad you're home safe, Steve. Welcome back to the world. :)

that's an incredible story that I, while never experiencing it myself, instantly identify with. I've often thought that such a thing would happen to me at some point, it was just a matter of time. it's a real relief to hear that you made it through a trying challenge in relatively good health. good to have you back!

Welcome back, Steve! Very glad you're safe & sound. I also didn't think for one minute there was really anything wrong - I knew you were just fine out there doing what you do.

*deletes entry in the DPC Enquirer obituaries* ;-) just kiddin. :)

We'll make Heather (hbunch) finally come to a Michigan GTG and then hand cuff em together... then we'll get to meet both of em unless they get lost ...

Supposedly she lives here in the Kalamazoo area, but, I think she's more myth than reality too.

Je pense q'elle n'existe pas.

What an awesome story, man. So glad to see you made it back safe, we were all pretty worried!
08/13/2006 08:53:54 PM · #75
Steve, that is quite an adventure! I don't think I would have been so well off in that situation. Glad you had some smarts on what to do and most of all, you didn't panic...even though the rest of us were. :-)

Also, so sorry about the loss of your equipment, but that can be replaced. Glad you at least have some great pictures from your adventure.

I hope you learned a small lesson from all of this. Never ever miss a pool party at Daryl and Tina's! ;-)

Enjoy your 'welcome home' party tomorrow.

Edit: Oh yea, will there be a news clip on your return?
