Well, that's quite a story. Words fail me, and as some of you know that's quite rare...

Welcome back!

As one of the many who were watching the thread and hoping for your safe return : Welcome back Steve!!!

I am glad to hear you were found safe and sound and that your family got you back whole and in one piece. You had quite an adventure! It was a good thing that you kept your common sense, some creative thinking and a cool head for it really helped you to survive in such terrain. Sorry to hear about the loss of your camera equipment - but when all things are said and done it can be replaced and I am sure it will be in no time flat.

Again, welcome back!

Although I do not have the panache, elan and savoir faire of my dear friend Robert, I also was at a loss of words to express my feelings in this matter.

I can earnestly say that I am very happy to you have found your way back relatively unscathed.

Use your camera, internet, ouija board, crystal ball or whatever it takes to locate Steve Davidson this week.

Special Rules: Automatic blue ribbon if you find him!

Aw, now that's just no fair! Steve could take a self-portrait, submit and go back into hiding JUST to get the blue. Not to mention if he doesn't go into hiding, the 10 way tie of the lucky souls living geographically close to Mesa!

;)

He got a blue, a red a yellow, a 4th place a 5th place.

But I think if I would locate him at all, I would ask life time blue supply from Langdon... why not?

Coz I was "missing" (but nobody noticed) too for a few days :(

Steve,

I followed the Missing Steve story from the start with disbelief and hope. I found my mind wandering at odd times of the day and night, wondering about you, and hoping for your safe return. I'm so relieved that you're OK. For some reason I decided it would be bad luck if I replied in the 'Missing Steve' thread, and others were keeping it active enough anyway, so I resisted the strong urge to post in it. Everyone can thank me anytime.

I'm sorry about your car and camera, but I'm glad you had a chance for a walkabout. If my camera were stolen I might get lost for a week somewhere too.

Welcome back, Steve. Now behave yourself!

Steve -

Thank you so much for posting your story. We are all so happy that you are in good health. That's a serious bummer about your car and camera, but the relief that YOU are okay makes up for it. Welcome home!

DPC well wishes and caring still overwhelms me.

I'm pretty busy and have much to do so apologize for being slow to respond to all the questions and messages.

I'm still learning more and more about the incredible efforts by people searching for me. It goes far and wide, further than you (or me) could possibly imagine. It involves an army of friends, family, officials, government agencies and complete strangers. Many people have adventure stories of their own from those efforts.

My son tracked down just about everyone I ever knew; some I'd just as soon he had not. LOL! Think I kept one or two from him, so I still may have a few secrets left. ;)

Soooo glad you're back safely. The camera equipment is replaceable and small potatoes compared to your health and welfare. You were definitely missed - good thoughts and prayers were streaming your direction from all over the globe. Welcome back!!! :-)

We're just glad to have you home man! Cars & cameras are replacable, but friends are not. I can't begin to say how glad I am that you're safe and in good health. It feels really good to type...
