Only one per challenge, sorry, and for exclusive challenges, only one of the two. So you hafta make a tough choice of which to go for! |

1 Entry allowed per challenge.
You may enter any Member challenge with a paid membership.
You may only enter 1 challenge when it reads Exclusive (each one of us must pick one or the other)
Don't worry about us respecting you. That's no problem. |

Welcome to dpc Renee :-)
Don't be afraid to jump in, it's the best way to start learning! Just remember to wear your thick skinned suit. A lot of us started out in pretty poor shape :-) Heck, I didn't even figure out how to submit a proper sized image til my third challenge, but then again, I'm a honyak. Here was my first:
and that was back when image id's were only 5 digits :-) I like to think I've improved at least a little bit, although I still have a propensity to enter a real stinker now and then.

I was watching some interview in passing with Kelly Clarkson - she said if she looked like Angelina she'd have a mirrored house and walk around naked all day... |

Welcome to DPC, Renee. Hope you enjoy it.
My first entry was this one:
(That's me sitting naked in my house full of mirrors) ;-P
It placed 18th, which gave me the false impression I was good enough to compete. 73 challenges and several thousand dollars worth of new equipment later, I've only managed to surpass that first entry about 6 times. :(
A couple Do's and Don'ts:
DO enter the PEAS challenge - you have nothing to lose.
DON'T believe anything you hear about me

My GOD... you changed a lot since started DPC... where are the muscles now?!!?
Oh by the way Art, you forgot to mention the addiction of DPC... Keep your dozes as "less" as possible... you may end up like... well, some people here :P

Alas-- muscle atrophy, carpal tunnel, uncontrollable compulsion to shoot and/or edit anything and everything - these are just some of the side effects. :(

Here's my first. OBVIOUSLY it was horrible. but that was just a few months ago and now i'm on the home page with a blue ribbon. If you want to learn and progress this is the best place to do that. and my ribbon shot is using the same model(our daughter) as in my husband's (elvis_L) first photo.  |

Welcome LadyRen. Here's my first challenge entry.
I couldn't understand why it didn't do better (I do now!) and started a thread asking why. Bear was one who explained why, I countered with excuses, he thought I was arguing with him and it pissed him off. I apologized for seeming overly strong and defensive and today, he probably doesn't even remember it happened. I learned quick (thankfully) to value the criticism of fellow DPC'ers, and Bear is one that I always pay attention to.
This progression has definitely improved my photography skills, but I had to start entering challenges to go through it.
So, now let's see yours. |

My 1st & still my lowest scoring entry, tho' to this date I still think that has been one of the hardest challenges (Breaking New Ground) |
