 My first picture that is not a happy snap and my first challenge. Also the last to be taken with the Coolpix 5700 as I have just sold it on ebay and am waiting for my D70.
As I interpret this challenge to be more technical rather than photogenic I concentrated more on that aspect.
I wanted an image that made me concentrate on lighting, angle and framing rather than subject.
Looking around my office I decided on the teddy (only 3" high)and threw in the mini-bottle to give the illusion of perspective.
For lighting I found a usb light that let me twist & position it until on the 39th shot I was satisfied with the mood. Cropped in Photoshop and tried messing around with levels & curves but decided to leave 'as is'.
Ironically, doing this shoot taught me more about this camera than I have learnt since purchasing it 18 months ago. Really looking forward to your critiques

The light seems too "cold". The lightning effect would probably be enhanced by altering the white balance in order to have a more yellow-ish light.

Wow! A drunk teddy? With the oh so dry Pernod? Interetsing social commentary, I think" but somewhat of a uninspiring composition. Good luck.
