W/E, i will go back and change all of the score, due to how they deffined the challenge. But that is not what bokeh is. |

Just look at the challenge description:
Loosely defined, bokeh is the quality and "feel" of the out-of-focus foreground or background elements of a photo. It isn't very interesting by itself, but take a photograph whose subject is enhanced by the bokeh of the background.

You should just do what you want. I'm sure you aren't the only one that feels that way. I would rather, of course, you went with the challenge description, but don't let us push you around. ;)

I encourage you to look further than wikapedia for your understanding of bokeh.

Bokeh per Wikipedia is as follows:
//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokeh
Bokeh (from the Japanese boke ぼけ, "blur"[1]) is a photographic term describing the subjective aesthetic qualities of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens. For example, causing an out-of-focus background image may reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject.
--
It's got nothing to do with shapes, just the pleasing effect of the blur. Oh and continuing on, it calls the hexagonal "hard edged" bokeh as undesirable, which I agree with. I dislike hexagonal hard edged bokeh. Buttery smooth is where it is at.

Where's the challenge in blending a solid colour background with your choice of subject?

I did not "blend a solid color background" .. that statement suggests I replaced the background for something it was not |
