wow, after my last dismal failure, I decided to go away and only enter challenges that I have a really good photograph for. This was my comeback challenge! The comments have been great and they were all impressed with my shot. One person even said they gave me an 8! But for some unknown reason..I can't even get to a 5!!! I guess this technically makes the comeback a flopback but hey...good comments are good comments..and I love it! :)

Am a little disappointed with mine, thought it would be doing better, in the higher fives. Oh well, I just won an ebay auction for my long dreamed for D50 :-) Onwards and upwards!
I just love this site, I have already learned so much and the challenges are so addictive and torturous!

Welcome to the D50 club :) You will enjoy this website even more with that camera! Buy yourself a 50mm f/1.8 better f/1.4 if you can spare the extra bucks ...and you are all set ! |

He, he, nice idea, but, no ... glass flowers wouldn't work well :) BTW, when you're addicted to something (like shooting flowers), it's a good idea to abstain from it. |

It should tell you right under your picture how many votes are in for your picture.
You can't check on the breakdown (how many of each score) until after the challenge, but some people have developed formulas to figure out the score they were just given - I have no idea how those work. If you ask me, it's waaaay too much trouble for what it's worth. And then sometimes it gets people angry, like they figured out that somebody gave them a negative score (which is impossible), but they believe it anyway, and on and on. |

Oh yeah and Pay Attention to the challenge definition will you please!
ETA: And I think you need to enter a challenge dude! Then we will see how easy you throw around the "DNMC"

| I'd take a dnmc comment. Or a "spot editing" comment. Or a "geez - another friggin' boring flower!" comment would do fine, too. Maybe I can hope the dnmc guy stumbles onto mine here shortly. |

I got a "dnmc" (all lowercase) too. But the kid is 15 so whatcha gonna do? My score didn't appear to take a drastic drop, so at least it wasn't a 1 score.

In the forum disscussing bokeh it was determained that bokeh is circles/hexagons left by the reflections of light. .... This is also the definition that is on wikapedia.com. Bokeh is not just part of the photo being out of focus.

Challenge descriptions don't necessarily match the definition of the word/phrase used for the challenge title. |
