Hey, now... I've got one of those damn flowers... Yes, that's right. My picture has a flower in it. I don't think this will reveal which entry is mine, though.
And after looking through the thumbnails, I'm thinkin' that flowers may have not been the best idea... Sorry about that, folks. :-) |

BTW, I have nothing against flowers, I love flowers. Especially flowers with blurry backgrounds. Yeah flowers! |

| Oh dear. This is horrible. I started with my first entry here at 27th place and now this bokeh is going to bring my average down if my score stays in the low 5's. I am going to have to be really creative for the next challenge to boost it up. I think my score for Desolation may help even out my current average so it is up to the next challenge to get my average up there! (Think!Think!...what to do, what to do.) So many choices. I know one thing. It will definately be superstitions and urban legends. I can be more creative in that one then glass I think. |

Great score! I had a "you should ribbon" on my Indulgence entry. Didn't happen. I have one now on my Desolation, but .....we shall see :) |

I doubt that I will ribbon, it's just really nice to have a comment suggesting that I should.

Gawd! Only at 21% of the voting and already I feel like tearing my hair out if I see another flower. I need some rest.
If you submitted a flower photo, please do not feel disappointed with the score yet. I initially score them all with a 5 and will sieve through them again at the end for a more definitate score. It may get bumbed up with another thousandth of a point then :)

This being my first challenge, I checked my score early this morning and said to myself, I'm not going to log in and look - "just get to work, leave dpchallenge.com alone and see what happens at the end of the day." But I can't help it. I have to look. I'm almost back to 5. I hope there are others out there like me :)

Eh, don't fret over it.
Some people take over a year to break the 5.0 barrier. Others do it on their first challenge.
Some could take two whole years (That's like me BTW), to even break the 6.0 barrier. |

Mine is still sinking - down to 5.78 now. It was 6.33 at 30 votes - it has really fallen now at 56 votes.
Sometimes, I think I'll never learn what really makes a good photo - even though Bokeh II is my 166th challenge entry it seems like I still can't tell ahead of time how a photo will score. You'd think I'd be able to tell by now! |

| No, the score is not too important. I've received a few helpful comments and am hoping for more. It'a all about learning and improving. A number with 4 decimal places won't teach me as much. |

I don't have a flower entry...so why is my score falling and falling and falling...last 6 times i looked today it's lower than the last time i looked! From 5.8xx to now at 5.3xx.
