One of my favorite Grilling Sauce Recipes:

Whiskey Grillin' Sauce

1/2 large onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup Knob Creek Whiskey
2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/3 tsp tabasco brand sauce
3/4 cup molasses
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tbsp salt
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tbsp liquid smoke
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/8 cup orange juice

Mix the onion, garlic, and the whiskey in a large saucepan. Saute until the onion and the garlic are clear... about 8-10 minutes or so. Have a sip of the whiskey while sauteeing :) Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to a slow boil. Let simmer for 20 minutes or so, stirring constantly.

Refrigerate overnight before using....

Put it on everything :)

I'll swap hubbies!! LOL JK love mine to death. This is where I really think that opening up a "Lounge" forum would be neat. Nothing what so ever to do with photography. After all, we DO have other stuff to talk about. Sometimes. LOL

Frozen Daquiri (requires a day set-up, but worth it)
-------------
3 cups water
3 cups sugar
12 oz limeade
6 oz lime juice
750 ml white rum
----------------
heat up the water, dissolve in the sugar
mix in the rest, pour the whole thing in a BIG tupperware-like bowl
freezes overnight into a nice slush
----------------
spoon out a few glops at a time and you'll melt right along with it!

DO NOT OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY!

This site never ceases to amaze me! Well, I am not a terrific cook (I have been known to burn water) but at a home visit with one of my kindergartners a few years ago, I learned how to make poached salmon steaks, and they have been my signature dish ever since.
In a medium skillet, bring to a boil: 1 bottle of clam juice, a few stalks of fresh dill, teaspoon of capers and juice of half a lemon. Then turn down to medium and put a salmon steak (or two) in it and cover. Flip every three minutes until the inside of the steak is almost light pink. On the side, you can mix half a cup of sour cream, some diced cucumber, lemon juice, garlic salt and fresh dill. It goes nicely with a nice chilled glass of burnt water...mmmmm.

I learned to cook pancakes and eggs when I was 3 -- my son Isaac flipped his first "flapjack" when he was still 17 months. Try peanut butter and banana or pear on whole wheat bread, or in a softened corn tortilla for a slightly healthier alternative.
Cooking's not that hard -- there's a few basic ingredients and techniques which are endlessly recombined.
You need never go hungry or resort to "convenience foods" unless you choose to, but please read the label first!

One of my specialties: Martha White cornbread in an iron skillet
heat oven to 450 degrees
spray skillet with Pam
put skillet in oven while mixing ingredients to get it good and hot.
in a large bowl mix by hand all of the following ingredients:
1 egg
2 cups of Martha White corn meal (or your favorite brand)
1 1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup Crisco oil

Pour ingredients into hot skillet and bake until golden brown.
Remove from oven and carefully turn skillet upside down onto serving plate. Your cornbread should fall onto the plate in one piece.
