Hey guys,
I'm like a kid in a candy store.
Got myself a Canon 350D.
Sold my fuji s7000 and went with Canon.
Was split between the 350 and the Nikon d70.
I think i have choosen the right camera.
It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Good.
Going away for the weekend to the mountains.
So lots of good photos to show when i get back, I HOPE :)
Still feeling my way around, all the buttons are in the wrong place :)
Got a couple of lenses to start
18-55 kit lens
canon 55-200 USM
also got the battery grip which i just amazing.
I really am like a 4 year old at christmas.
So can i now join the DSLR club?
Kev

The s7000 IS a great camera. I am missing it. We went through a lot together. But the 350 is amazing. Just need to stop myself from buying lots of lenses. Needs the battery grip though. It doesn't seem to sit right without it. But that's my big hands.
Itching to get out and start shooting. I have a feeling there is more ribbons in me yet... :)

its awesome you got a new camera, and i really hate to piss on your fire, but it looks like a lot of banding in that second image you posted.

What is banding.
There is a bit of burning in on the background that looks strange on this monitor but not on the one that i edited on? |

Hmmm, what to say to Kev? I hate you! Laff. Good on ya. I hope to be in your shoes before the end of summer.
If it we could just learn to live in a box...Sigh. No, I'd rather wait.

Congrats Kev: I had the same sensation a month ago. It's crazy fantastic. Have fun and make many photos (I've shot about 1.000 pictures in one month).
Ah, and use raw all the time. It's great the postprocessing you can do if you have a raw.

Congrats on your new camera, Kev! The 350D is probably the most bang for the buck available and those 8 megapixels...awesome!
I just got my new camera as well (two days ago), but had to go with the Nikon D50....just couldn't abandon all my Nikon glass, 8 lenses are a powerful argument! |

Glass was a big consideration with my purchase.
I have a lens from my film EOS and my mate also has a 350 and a number of lenses that i can borrow. |
