Me neither. Did one this morning no problems, but now, can't get it to give me anything, it's like clicking on a dead button. Perhaps Langdon's working on it?

I think there may be a little confusion here....
When you select an image to critique from the selections page, the image you get comes from the most recently completed challenges, NOT from the current challenge :)

John's reply to Manic's post about camera settings on the cc review page:

I really hope that this can be done. I often use camera setting information and the photographers initial comment on the picture to discuss things like exposure and creative use of aperture. It is for example of no use to tell someone to go from F5.6 to F2 to blur the background when the exposure was already at its limit (like ISO50, 1/2000s, F5.6 and still a hint of overexposure).
It is also useful for the photographer if I see what they want me to see (they should tell me what to look for of course).
I got one now and I'll load the normal comment page as well for the info.
Edit: works well, but as I said, I load the normal photo page as well. Done 4 up to now.
I am going to bed an do some more tomorrow evening. I like it how every image is a surprise. :) Adds some more fun to the critiqueing and I am starting to think that it begins to enhance my own photography too.

There should be no issues left with the selection page. Sorry for the trouble.

Minor "error" :
I just posted a critique to #21 in the New Year's challenge. I was given the photo through the CC link. However, I opened up another window to see the photographer's comments and and other comments. I then placed my comment in that window.
However, the CC link wouldn't move from that photo until I put comments in through that window. I even closed out IE, but got the same response.
Conclusion - post all comments through the window that the CC link brings up.

Now I am confused again.
I was just given a photo to critique which was listed as xth place in the Song Titles, and one which I could not find in the final results. It's title was Huff & Puff. Was this dq'd ?

I just got an automatic selection of a disqualified photo also. I'm not sure what we should do about this. I'm assuming that if the photo does not have a score listed with it that it was a DQ photo.
I believe it may be a good thing to go ahead and critique these images, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I'll try to talk to Langdon about this when I see him come online later today...

I think we have to critique it. The system seems to always give you that photo until you add a comment. I guess we could add "no comment".
But I would add a critique if possible (I did). At least then the photographer gets feedback on the photo.

Thanks, but there seems to be a small bug left.
I got Stephan's Karmacoma photo to critique. I opened that one before the other information shows up, but didn't have time to finish. The next time, after your update, I opened it again (still have to finish it), but the Photographers comments box is empty, where the original does have a photographer's comment.

I have a suggestion:
Is it ever so possible for the page to just dump us out to the normal results page so that we can see all of the comments?
I know I shouldn't base my CC entry on other comments, but I still like to read through them all to get a feeling for how the picture did overall. I think it gives me the ability to forge a more well-rounded review.
Just a thought.... |

I second that... If 10 people mentioned a flaw, I'd word my comment on that flaw differently then if it was the first time the photographer is hearing something.
Right now I just open up a second window to the challenge copy of the picture so I can see the comments.
By the way, this whole system is fantastic! Will it start dishing out member challenge photos when it's done with the open challenge?

I idly clicked on the link, got a button to click, clicked it, and it gave me a photo to critique! I've never been in the Critique Club, and I'm not sure if I want to be yet! I know I want to when I have the time, but I'm busy right now.
Maybe you could keep me on the list, though, so I can start when I have time?

Yes, if you are given a photo noone else can have it. I did the same as you lisae, but I'm going to critique it anyway, and I'll stop being so nosey in the future :P

There must be a bug somewhere... you and lisae are not on the list to be able to select images... if you selected images, please try to critique them today so I can get langdon to fix the problem and those images don't get lost...

I can't seem to uncheck the box for "I would like an indepth critique on my submission."
I uncheck it, press submit, and when I look again, the box is checked.
How can I opt out of an indepth critique?

Kim, I tried it and it works for me. it may be the broswer cache. Try unchecking the box again an then go back to the page and hit the refresh button to see if it relieves the problem...

How does everyone like the new system so far?
We are currently down to 42 images to complete the week... that's impressive... great work :)

I like the system and will likely do 4-5 today.
I would like to see the complete results page for the photo with all the comments, vote breakdown, etc. instead of just the photo and a form field....personal preference.
