These shots are about 20 years old. It was my first time visiting the Mohonk area, and the fog had just started to lift as we approached the lake. I think I was pushing the film to 1600 maybe 3200. These are scans from 4x6 prints and all the grain you see is natural, analog film grain.

It was a magic day, and I have many great shots (and memories) from that day.

These are great! I go to Mohawnk a lot and these are way better than anything I ever got. I can't picture where you took these from to get the compositions you did. Did you have a really long lens to shoot from the other side of the lake or something?

Thanks!

It's all in the timing (not mine). =] My friend who took me there has a knack for getting up early and getting to places as the morning fog begins to rise and burn off. It's more impressive timing considering we drove up from NYC and parked about 3 miles from the mountain house and had to walk there before shooting. It's all his fault.

I can't remember exactly where we were, but there is an outcropping on the lake that isn't too far away from either shot. I can't remember what lenses I had with that camera. I'm pretty sure I only had primes. Maybe a 50mm and an 85? 135? But definitely no really long lenses. Man I miss that cam.
