What do you get when you mix a modelshoot and a Challenge?
Well, I did that last week.
As some of you can remember I have had the honner to work with a model named Kat.
Kat is from the USA (I don't know, I guess it's that little country that borders mexico) and was touring Europe.
Now last week were her finals day's in Europe and I had the opportunity to work with her again.
But there was also a Challenge, the High Contrast Challenge, so before driving to Germany (3 hours) I called her and told her about the challenge.

So this is what the mix between a modelshoot and a DPC shoot looks like.

PS: Look at what NI did to her hair ;)

Hmmm, that one has a little story to it.
We where shooting in Germany. And as far as I am concerned, everything in Germany is "verboten"
Don't do things that are out of line or people will start complaining...

We crossed this little stream and Kat said: Oh that would be awesome to have a picture with me standing in this stream.

I have to tell you that this little stream is in the centre of Paderborn, so I was trying to talk it out of her head.

She just smiled, stepped of the bridge into the water, holding her tablecloth (it's not realy a dress) up, walked to the middle, put her "dress" on top of the water and started to model....

I realy was in shock, but while trying to call her out of the water I managed to get some shots.

One older man was passing by and saw us, he started to grumble something not so nice to me, until he saw Kat, she just smiled a sweet smile at him, and he smiled back and walked on....

Hmm I had a wonderfull day.

I think she and I go to the same barber.

great model...the camera likes her, and she seems pretty fond of it too. very relaxed and creative posing. Were they mostly her ideas or yours?

I go to that barber now too!

Great series of photos. My favorite is actually the one you chose for the challenge (imagine that.)

Those are so great! I recognized her from your previous shoot - she has a very appealing and unique look. And as several other people have said, she and the camera are a great match. Congrats again!

Awesome set, and the model Kat is very erotic....I have enjoyed them. You can mix your challenges with the same subject matter. However, be prepare to be called out and then perhaps there will be a conspiracy theory about your photos and something about...some...virtual ribbon....I hear about those things...but it's just a theory...:)

Rest asured. I am not using her in challenges for at least the comming 10 months.
She's back in the USA and she prommised me to come to europe again next year, but by then most will have forgotten her allready.

Hmmm that's another point I wanted to make. I have seen people talking about these beautifull excotic models some people use, and there where complaints about it being not fair to be living in the USA or europe because we didn't have models like that, and nobody can compete...

Just look what I have found, and yes, she's American.

Did I say EROTIC? I meant to say exotic. :0 Well, yes she IS erotic to say the least as well. With or with out hair, it's those eyes man. She's American and lives over here? Dude I need a phone number, all of a sudden the US just got smaller. I must say, it must have been a honor to work with her. Ummm. I thought she was European or from elsewhere close. American? I guess we do have few mutts that turn out well. :)

Perhaps that we Americans find women from overseas exotic is because we see American women all the time. So anything is different. I have seen folks from other countries feel the same about the American women likewise...so it's a 2 way street. Moreover, I have view your profile and I must admit, Europe has something that America doesn't. History. The Architecture is tremendous and the Alps are very gracious. I have to admit, I wouldn't mind spending some time there to photograph it all for my own private collection. America has it great parts too....I guess I'm saying that other people, places and things seem more interesting than to what we live around or live in, to either side.
