An interesting statistic to view for the site would be what is the overall rating for a first time entry. Anyone know if this can be coded in somewhere?

My first was a speed challenge in November of last year - "Indecision" in which I placed 18th out of 108 entries. I was mildly happy with it until a few challenges later I realized that it was going to be hard to beat that placing!
Here was my entry:
Thinking Too Much

The score was only 5.639, but the placing is more important to me since it is more relative to the competition for that challenge.

My first one made me happy because I got a dozen comments saying "ewwwww gross"

4.206

Good times, good times

Mine was much better than it should have been at 4.648 seems how it was terribly OOF - I did not realize when I resized it that somehow I had lost all sharpness. Oh well - live and learn. Of course reading the tutorials on DOPC has helped me a lot!

Didn't know how to properly size a picture or edit very well but even though my entry was bad everyone still gave me great advice, 15 comments.

Took 23rd with a 6.096 with this image in Macro III:

Been a roller coaster ride ever since.

BTW, I got a similar score in the the recent Macro V (6.045) that took no. 73. Times have changed.

My first entry scored a 5.367. That is if we are using the 'Average - all users' vote/score.

I'll keep plugging along I guess.

5.655... 5 challenges later, it's still my highest score, including the ongoing ones... you never know, but I doubt they're gonna top it =)

My worst challenge submission, which of course at the time I liked very much. I didn't even know how to resize properly at the time. LOL :) Man I've learned a lot since then.
