I have this darkness problem myself...all the time. So frustrating! I like the subject you chose though, must have been a beautiful night!

I pride myself on having a monitor calibrated for dark images, but this one is a touch too dark...

Perhaps you convey the quite of Sun rise/set with the darkness yet I think I would prefer to see it brightened up a little.

It seems to be too dark, although that may be the effect you were going for. It left me wanting more.
