Why don't you have this available as a print?
01/31/2004 07:50:08 PM
Congrats on your Photo of the Month at AZColt for this! RoB
01/27/2004 08:06:53 AM
Nice, I'd love to know how you got so up close and personal on this one.
01/26/2004 08:30:10 PM
I love this shot. He looks like he is mad about something. We have a local eagle (at the bird sanctuary) that I enjoy taking pics of.
Great job, congrats.
01/26/2004 06:18:08 PM
Congrats on your first entry winning a ribbon! Excellent shot. This was one of my personal favorites in the challenge. This is truly a WOW image. The opportunity to get something like this doesn't come along very often.
01/26/2004 12:22:07 PM
This was GREAT!! Where did you see the eagle. I would love to capture something like this if given the chance. Congrats on a job well done.
01/26/2004 11:12:17 AM
WOW! Congrats.
01/26/2004 10:55:45 AM

01/26/2004 08:08:05 AM
Congratulations on the ribbon, a beautiful bird.
01/26/2004 01:43:51 AM
I have just looked at your profile.
A first time entry. Wow!

Amazing work. The soft background puts all the emphasis on the crystal clear subject. This is the way you would see it in National Geographic. 10
01/25/2004 08:36:54 PM
This is one of my favorites!
01/25/2004 09:19:19 AM
I normally don't like smaller images like this one, but this time it seems to accentuate!
01/25/2004 01:45:27 AM
Nice, looks like the Post office will have a new logo.
01/24/2004 05:09:33 PM
An astonishing capture! Gorgeous.
01/24/2004 04:02:22 PM
Great capture! I like how we can see the heat of its breath. Dynamic composition - the diagonal line of the bird. I like how the light catches the top edge of the feathers. Nice undestractiing background, good uase of DOF. Wish it were bigger/ better resolution. 8

I can see this being used by "Nat geog" as a cover. Except for the aspect. If it could be shown portrait it would be perfect. Of course I am not sure what "surrounds the picture but if I were you I would get something like the "journal of freelance photographers handbook" (Wherever you are in the world it is still useful) and start submitting it.

Super nice job. High mark from me.
01/23/2004 03:03:45 PM
Like his foul breath, good detail - but probably better a little more to the left.
01/23/2004 11:12:02 AM
Excellent clarity ... terrific capture!
01/23/2004 09:19:09 AM
This demonstrates that size doesn't matter! Fantastic shot, great lighting and a wonderful capture. [10]
01/23/2004 02:50:18 AM
Very good depth of field. Texture were captured beautifully. You can almost feel the soft feathers. Contrast is really good. The yellow of the beak really stand out and brings your eyes toward the eyes of the eagle. Wonderful shot.
01/22/2004 01:26:23 PM
Great eagle, looks like the cover to the Enciclopedia of North American Birds.
01/21/2004 10:27:42 PM
WoW! What an awesome capture. This is just incredible. The crisp color, sharpness of the feathers, frosty breath, good composition and lighting... I can almost hear the squawk. Most excellent ... My only wish would be for this to be bigger ....
01/21/2004 04:41:17 PM
unfortunate that the pixel size wasn't not larger, i'm not sure if that's because you would lose resolution but this image is perfect for the challenge and seeing the breath really brings it home. awesome capture
01/21/2004 03:16:20 PM
I believe this could be a great image but really wish it were -much- larger (also to be able to comment intelligbly).
What appears to be breath drifting away from the eagle's head, would make this a worthwhile capture indeed.

AWESOME SHOT!! love the detail.
01/21/2004 10:12:02 AM
Exceptional capture. Good depth of field. Sharp. Might be better to crop the right side off or have more of the eagle?
01/21/2004 10:06:51 AM
This is good. Its a little bit small, but good. Good color and excellent exposure. The steam (I think its steam) in the background is a good touch.
01/21/2004 09:37:56 AM
Excellent image. I like the backlighting of the head and the breath. I recently got a promo from NG and it had a section on bald eagles. This shot could have easily been one of them. 10.
01/21/2004 07:38:59 AM
super shot - just way too small. You can submit 650 I think?
01/21/2004 03:29:25 AM
Wow... fantastic shot! Really well-focussed. I like the colours, too.
01/20/2004 10:21:06 PM
I love the foggy breath
01/20/2004 09:30:33 PM
Nice action and hot breath.. neat effect.
01/20/2004 08:05:24 PM
Everyone says this challenge is a difficult one to score. This picture is another splendid representation of nature with good detail, bringing us almost to the level of the bird being presented. My 8 may go up.
01/20/2004 05:57:24 PM
01/20/2004 05:35:21 PM
should do well
01/20/2004 04:57:55 PM
amazing shot!...it would have blown me away even more if it was bigger
01/20/2004 04:15:52 PM
A really awesome photo! I saw that it won POTD at least once on other websites. I'd like to see a larger size. Excellent clarity, composition, and expression.
01/20/2004 12:56:16 PM
Great capture. It is similar to a NG recent cover (how great is that?!!!). I wish you submitted a larger photograph so your readers can see more details. At this size, I can see the clarity of your shot but it would even be more awesome at a larger size. The blurred background is excellent because it makes your subject stand out more. Congratulations and I hope you do well.
01/20/2004 09:07:29 AM
Very expressive , good lighting, sharp...shame the photo is a bit small, why not use the 640 pix allowed?
01/20/2004 08:15:09 AM
I can`t think of anything to say except..simply immense
01/20/2004 12:22:24 AM
where did you get this shot? Nice
01/19/2004 09:55:33 PM
Eagles are so supremely beautiful, whats not to like! - Great job. - Super capture of the breath effect.
01/19/2004 08:51:42 PM
Great colors and sharpness. Expression of your subject is very NG. I think a yellow border her id very appropriate.:)))
01/19/2004 07:15:24 PM
On the small side, but this shot is so good. Really a great job of light, focus, and color. Impressive and well worth a 9. Good luck in the challenge it's a great shot.
01/19/2004 01:19:13 PM
Really small entry - looks good but I'd like to have seen this 640px wide not 400px
01/19/2004 12:59:33 PM
That's a NG shot if I ever saw one!
01/19/2004 12:25:13 PM
01/19/2004 11:45:17 AM
Very NG - good dof, great expression.
01/19/2004 09:42:04 AM
Wow. Excellent photo! I assume you must have cropped this down quite a bit but I think I might have left more empty space at the top left. I love the steam!
01/19/2004 09:41:32 AM
wonderful capture, is that his breath you can see?..wow..nie shot.
01/19/2004 06:42:44 AM
incredible photo...love the dof
01/19/2004 03:33:54 AM
I like this a lot.
01/19/2004 01:25:39 AM
Beautiful picture. Remarkable clarity. the lighting on a whle bird is difficult in sunlight too, and you're done a very nice job with that. However, with the sharpness of this picture, you could easily have increased it's size by more than 50%. Your long side is 400pixels, and you're allowed up to 640. High vote from me...higher if you'd made it bigger.
01/19/2004 12:45:18 AM
Wow -- excellent job! The clarity of the shot is impressive, and the steam is a real cool plus here. I only wish you had submitted it at the full 640 pixels allowed. That's the only thing keeping me from giving it a 10.
01/19/2004 12:30:14 AM
This is as good as it gets!! AWESOME
01/19/2004 12:07:39 AM
Fantastic photo...seeing his breath really gives it life. Nice job
