Which is actually about what I expected going into the challenge since it is the first one I entered and an accursed wild hair talked me into doing something "different". I too have been amazed by the originality in the competition this round. I think a lot of us really spent a lot of time trying to come up with something unique for this one and it certainly shows. Good work to all who entered!!

I like this shot a lot, which is probably the kiss of death, but it's doing pretty well so far. It's not remarkable, out of the ordinary, or even creative; but it's clean, simple, and easy to look at. I figured I'd give a run-of-the-mill photo a try this time and see what happened.

I have to admit that that's what I am doing also. Same with voting. Since we have to vote on 20% minimum, what I do si vote first 20 percent, and then durin the week I try to get a closer look to each photo, give it the "right" vote and try to comment. Since I have internet only at work, my time is limitted....so in one week I shall make it ;-)

my opinion was sharp at first - when i get a low score it doesn't help.
Some of the images, however, cheered me up. I like to see a little effort and thought in titles and in shots. Normally, if I have thought of something and didn't shoot it - someone else might suffer a point reduction since I thought the idea was not worth it (e.g. a fireworks ring or sparkler trail)--however, a really nice execution can make up for that... y'know what I mean????

Also - that Halo image is great! - not sure how - but it's great darn-it.

Good Alain. I wish I were so lucky. I mulled over the circle pictures and kept adding and deleting and finally chose one and now.... 4.955. UGH

Maybe it'll pick up a little. Sometimes the scores get higher closer to the end. Or that's been my experience. Judy
