I was off today after working last night, so I went to meet my daughter from school. The simple pleasure of walking home with a child wittering on about her day in the school library was something that really made me glad to be alive.
Oh yes, and my additional RAM module for my computer turned up today. That might cure some of its ills.

I had a good doctors appointment today and also the girl that cuts my hair left the salon so I kept putting off trying someone new. Spur of the moment I called and got an appt. with someone new and not only was the new girl super nice but my hair looks fabulous, lol. (which is rare as I'm a ponytail type of girl most days)
If anyone needs a new hairdresser, I reccomend telling them on the phone "I need someone who can make me look hip even if I'm not". That worked for me. |

I got my new Nikkor 70 - 300mm lens today :).....they was definitely good!!!

it makes me happy (or smirky at least) that so many DPCers have a spare outhouse to photograph for obsolete hahahah

funny thing is i too thought(just for a second) of photographing the outhouse at my grandmothers(actually shes my grandmother-in-law but i like to think of her as mine too). i sure didnt think there were going to be that many here tho. before i moved to kentucky (from delaware) i had never seen a real outhouse. boy was i surprised when hubby suggested that i use it instead of waiting for the bathroom. at first i thought he was joking! again i was patient...for the bathroom to become vacant. :) |

Watched my son play and dance at the first Concert in the Park series down the street and watched lots of people and kids go nuts over my dogs. ;)

I am happy to report that I can contribute to the Happy Thread!
I just got word that one of my photos is going to appear in a Dave Barry book. Dave Barry is a humor columnist, and I have been an absolute HUGE fan of his since his column was syndicated in the early 80s, so this is a tremendous thrill for me.
I'll have a shot in his newest book, "Dave Barry's Money Secrets," which is due to hit stores in January.

the good thing ths hsppened to me today was that everyone in my household is tucked in bed safe- sound and happy...it was a great day
if you wake up in the morning and know who you are and where you are....itd a great day
