I found a great place for a message.

I don't feel as stiff anymore.

I'd like to add my favorite bit of poetry:

Happy the man, and happy he alone,
he, who can call to-day his own.
He who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have liv'd today.

It's Thursday which is my FRIDAY, hoo rah! and I'm going to see a live production of GREASE with my wife and 15 year-old son tomorrow night at Shenandoah University Theater, looking very forward to that! Also printed a photo early this morning of my older son (18) taken last Tuesday as we left for the airport to send him off to bootcamp at Lackland AFB in San Antonio (pause for slight sadness....) but the photo looks great and he's doing fine.... can't wait to get him back in November!

8 hours for me...tick-tock, tick-tock... ;^)

I wanted to borrow your timezone and noticed in your profile you're from Canada - fireworks there on the 4th too, or are you coming for a visit?

Yesterday 6-29-05 (I noticed this thread was started yesterday) was a very happy day for me.
First thing in the morning when I check my email I noticed I had sold a picture on Shutterpoint.
Second, when I check on shutterpoint, I noticed one of my picture in the feature photo section. It is not there now, but it had a brief moment in glory.
Third, later I check on shutterpoint again, and I was being in the feature photographer for selling a photo.
So I had a very good day.

I love my wife also! She told me yesterday that I can go get a 70-200 F4L. She's an awesome woman!

Going to get it today!

I enjoyed reading all these happy posts here. I didn't really have anything happy to contribute so I went on my dismal way.

Then I looked at my profile and noticed a favorite was added, thanks Zemm! That made me really happy!!! Then I looked at his profile, he has some nice photos with a good eye for composition, and he's only 10! Check out his profile The "Party on the Boat" is really cool. This kind of stuff makes me happy. :-)

One, Two, three, Fou... seconds closer to picking up the 20D and 70/300 on Saturday. And about two more weeks till the birth of my second child. My son, whom I still have to name.

Good news is I got approval to shoot backtage at the Barrie Live 8.
Bad news is I hurt my back and can't walk, stand, or carry anything so I can't go.

I SAW WAR OF THE WORLDS AND *LOVED* IT!
Sure, it has flaws just as any other movie, but man, the special effects, lead acting, intensity....whoa, what a ride. It's possibly the best movie of the year. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a good action-full suspense with good acting in it. Batman was pretty darn good-- but this is coming close.
EVERYONE GO SEE IT! (right now) :o)

My precious Rebel (which broke while I was on vacatino *sob*) is coming back TOMORROW from California where it was getting repaired! And it was under warranty, which means that I don't have to pay a dime, which is good because I was getting ready to sell off one of my lenses to pay for the repair. : P
So yeah. I'm happy! lol

Went into the camera store looking to get a Sigma 50-500 and came out with a Canon 100-400 IS L for the same price! (Used lens, but perfect condition) WOOO HOOO!

I was given one more day to learn something, to teach something; to earn something, to reach something.
