I just don't understand why people enter "crappy" photos??? I know some of the photos in the contest are crappy but I just assumed it was from someone who genuinely thought they were good enough to enter. At least enter something that YOU like. |

It's my best to date, barring any yet-to-come reductions in score. I would like for it to go back over a six, though, so everyone vote high. What've you got to lose?
Also, this is my first entry with a border, and the last two comments I got mentioned it - one said borders never look good, the other said that the border really made the shot. What does this mean? It means do what you want on here - you can't please everyone so make yourself happy.

i have rated 162 of 505 images and commented on 125 images. my goal is to comment and vote every single photo in this challenge. i hope i am not hurting anyone feelings here and my only intention is to help. Im also glad i dont know whos photos are whos(like kpriest,bradp,joey,rex and slippy) as that would make me really nervous to know im commenting on greatness ;o). if i havent commented on u yet please be patient, im working my way thru. if i have left a comment that makes u angry or u dont understand please PM me after voting is over and i will try to explain better what i meant. Cheers to everyone who has submitted. theres a ton of great photos! and GOOD LUCK to all!!!

I like my photo, so it's all good. The score fluctuation drives be a bit wacky, though. HOW long is the voting open for???

It really sucks that people submit crappy pics on purpose "to see what happens". All that does is increase the number of shots voters must wade through and decreases the time they get to spend looking at the objectively. C'mon guys, stop submitting what you know is crap, your ruining the contest for those that have spent time on their submission!
That said, I don't care about my score, although I do watch the trends it takes. I am more impressed with comments both good and bad. I can't improve my craft (hobby) by reading a score, I need the feedback. I have been terribly remiss in making comments as well, and is something I am trying to improve on (especially in challenges I enter). |

| My picture SUCKS and I am too ashamed to tell you the score. Lets just say my rein as the "5" is over. I am now shooting for the Brown Ribbon I think this will be my first one so you can congratulate me now. |

I'm here more for the comments and to view photos by others. The comments help greatly and there's nothing like looking at a photo that moves you, whether it be a great feeling or a bad feeling. That's what it's about.

You know this really sucks!!! I had a good score and suddenly (as I hit refresh once a minute) the next vote was really bad, I assume 1 or 2
because I went down dramatically. And of course no comment.
I can't imagine all the people to like my photo (though I got a couple of 9s and 10s - oh! what a feeling!) but if someone rate me really bad I want to know why.
Well I guess this topic was raised hundreds of times before. :(

The comments have all been positive so far. I was hoping this would be stronger entry for me. If it beats my average I will be pleased but if it beats 'granular' I will be really happy.
