Was in two minds on whether to enter this. I think that it came out quite well and is an interesting take on the challenge. Ultimately I went with an alternative. I would be interested in feedback on how this might have done!

I think you have a very nice image with this...as a "real Old" skater I think you have captured the right "Moment" in time, as well as placed the skater in an interesting envornment. Subjectivly I may have cropped a little differently but you're the photographer and that stuff is up to you....

I was going to enter one of these but then thought that it was too much a "modern" day version of a silhouette. There are items that are in silhouette, the tree and the cow(s). But I figured that they wouldn't have done well because there was too many other elements in the shots that weren't silhouetted.

The colors are amazing in your photos!

I LOVE the 3rd one... All of them are very nice, but I would have given the 3rd one of the trees against the sunset a 10 (although some may find it cheesy).

Hrm, for it to be cheesy, I'd want a wedge shape and some clear, round holes on it, which I don't see :)

I second that this shot would have been effective on me :)

I really like the fence one. It would make a good poster.
Here's the only one I tried. Not to interesting, that's why I decided not to enter it. Who says that we don't learn things here.

I originally took this one:

I ended up going in a different direction and the image I went with is about 10 million times better... MUCH happier with my actual entry

maybe I was wrong. I did take this one and decided to submit to istock instead. It was rejected for overprocessing, but all I did was rotate it. Oh, well. Shot at -2 ev. No d/b for the clouds. This one was sharpened after downsizing.

Great shot faidoi, you should have used it...

Very timely subject matter! but hmmm - not sure that this is really a silhouette - more of a subject that happens to be dark. And highly reflective! If your submission is a true silhouette I am sure that it will have done better on a points basis (as if points count - certainly not for my latest shots...).
