Sunsets, sunrises, what's the difference? Except sunrises are harder, in the sense that you can't anticipate them with as much advance warning. In any case, I live within easy walking distance of an east-facing beach, so I do sunrises.
You guys can all have your gaudy sunsets, I'll counter with bleak winter sunrises....
jejejeâ¢
Or this one, which is a sunset looking AWAY from the sun. The colors are NOT 'shopped, this is as it came.

and it means you have to actually get out of bed!
i'm with you all the way, robt., nothing like a sunrise to kick the day off. that's also a good point that sometimes it's more interesting to see where the light is going than where it's coming from. |

someone's posted something in here that makes the second page stretch WAY out, not auto-wrap the text. Can some SC or staff locate the problem area and fix it?

Here is my fave photo - taken in Vancouver a couple of years ago. One of several sunset shots from that area.
This one is coming back to Vancouver from Victoria:

Yep, chicago from the Hancock observation level, 6 shots stitched with PanoTools/PTGUI. September, 2004. I got lucky with the sky. I went up about 1/2 hour before sunset and waited until the balance of natural light and light from the city was right.
