My worst at 3.7 and I never should have entered it.
Live and learn. Still learning!

I don't feel so bad for my lowest submission now...even though I've only submitted 3 shots so far XD

I got robbed with this one!! Robbed I tell you!
Came in 278th out of 283. I thought it should have been no worse than 250th, maybe 255. :P

3.422

My two lowest of 2004. I loved the first and couldn't understand why it had done so badly, and the second flat out hated and don't know why I even entered it.

I only got one rated below 4: .

I still think it's great though, and would definitely enter it again, i don't really care about the score. My highest scoring images are the ones i mostly don't like.

Same goes to a lot of shots in this thread, some of them have received a 10 from me, some of them i really like but didn't vote on, so who cares.

The thing I like about this thread is that we all have a bad photo that we know we should not have taken. I like seeing everyone's photos.

3% - lowest percentile
- and it was a really tough shot too!

3.926 - lowest score
- I never ended up hating it as much as others did and I don't know why!

This one really sunk on its own weight:

We won't talk about the one that taught me to calibrate my monitor. But next in line was my 4th entry - 87/94...

Stay Focused (Go Bears)

Where I learned (among other things) that the entire world does not, after all, know - or perhaps even care - that the Golden Bear is the mascot of the University of California at Berkeley sports teams.

Lowest score 4.749. 15th percentile.
First entry:

Next lowest score 4.758. 30th percentile.
Third entry:

The good news is I'm learning both technically and creatively. (but have a lot to learn!)

I've got a whole bunch of tankers to choose from, but these are my favourites:

1%
7%
19%

The worst one I've got under my name is this thing:

It's not even mine, but I'm stuck with it (long story)

This was my first (and unfortunately not last) dive below 5 for the Out of Place challenge. I wasn't going to enter, but my daughter fell asleep using her favorite book as a pillow. Either the book wasn't recognizable enough or some folks think that's where they belong. Either way, my score was out of place.

This was my worst stinker ever... a statue shot straight-on in midday light. WWIT?

Not sure what I was thinking. Abstract? Still Life? Yellow? Its funny how lost you can get inside your own head.

Hidden faces?
(You were just a little ahead of yourself, perhaps.)

3.941. With God as my witness I will never score that low again. Unless I do.

My one and (hopefully) only under 5 entry, 47th percentile, WWIT

My most recent entry, predictably.
I entered it for two reasons: partly, because I felt it was a worthy image, which fit the challenge well and in a less dull and obvious way and, partly, in the hope to expose voters bent on a literal interpretation, requiring little or no imagination.

Under the circumstances, I am satisfied with the result.

My worst photo is the current challenge. I knew it wasn't that good, BUT little did I realize that I would get comments like this: "Why waste everyone's time on things like this? This is just terrible, from all perspectives." So, who died and made YOU such an expert (ya big jerk).

My 2 lowest scored pictures on DPC are:

I took the subject of this challenge too literally. I think I would take it and process it differently today.

This is still one of my favorite pictures I have ever created.

Re: by grigrigirl
I was the one out of 5 people who scored this 10. For me it is very artistic, love the color and the composition. I think it is still a photograph. Having a wife and 2 daughters I found this picture 100% on topic.

Here's my worst:

4.318 and 3% for the Implied Lines challenge. What can I say? I just didn't interpret this one correctly. This score was immediately following the Communication challenge where I received my best score to date and the very nice comment of "Keep at it...you've got the eye/touch ...I can see it." I think my eye got distracted - at least that's what I like to tell myself. :-)

starting from my first challenge entry...all sub-5:

(still one of my fave abstracts)

(still don't understand why this one scored so low)

I agree with you, I really like that one as well. Glad you posted it.
