Loads of shadows..maybe some flash fill would help

A different angle so that the back of the metal roadsign wasn't in the picture would have improved it as the road signn takes your attention away from the bull a bit. Would have also shot slightly lower as back feet are slightly cut off, there is more space at top of image so it would have been possible to do this.
Nice shot though. (6)

I see the connection to the challenge. A couple of items of composition I find detracting from the photo - the back of the sign post on the lower right, and the tree disecting the bull. I'm not sure if you could have changed the angle on this or not, depending on what else was around it. I think I would have also liked it better with the bottom not quite so cropped. Focus and color both look good.

Crop out tree on left and get the whole bull in frame (feet cut off).

The cropping at the bottom is a bit unsettling. Also, for me, a shot of an existing statue doesn't usually make for a good piece of original photography. 3

cropping out the base of the statue give it an un-balanced feel: perhaps just a touch more would give some sense of grounding -- otherwise, it looks like the bull could be floating through the trees.

get closer. crop out the background distractions and use creative angles.

Congruence of colors of the statue and the trees is very nice. Including a little bit more of the base of the statue would have given more 'ground' to the picture, IMO.
