Entry:
Outtake:
I should have gone with the plain, straight, boring angle as the tilt apparently made some voters ill. :o)
Post your outtakes here!

This was the photo I entered but unsubmitted. The sky looked "dirty" especially on the thumbnail. I had no alternate so I didn't enter. Curious as to how this would have done in the challenge. Comments welcome.

Thought my entry image had a bit more of landmark feel about it as the Drake had some historical significance....well other than my senior prom was eons ago. LOL!

Thanks Scott and Darlene..... You may be right, editing and choosing I am afraid is a weakness for me.

Is it just me? I don't see anything dirty about this sky. (pssst - dust your monitor.) :) Seriously, I think this would have placed somewhere in the middle. Its a good shot. |

You may have a small point about meeting the "landmark" part of the challenge, but the other two shots are excellent. I love the lines and textures of these. Great work. |

Thanks Darlene. I'm seeing lots of color noise in the blue sky. Funny though it didn't look too bad on my work laptop. Maybe cleaning up the blue channel could've helped but I didn't have time to fix it.

Should have went with the better known location, but my kids liked my submitted better.

This is my outtake - it's probably just as well that I went with the one I did as it got 11th place. I really do like this one, too, though - and almost submitted it. It was the one I had loaded up and my husband said he liked the other one better so I changed it. |
