Yes, it's Zoomdak. Yes, yet another of my favorite subjects =).

I think it might fit the challenge. Rather borderline actaully. I really don't see any landmark in this entire image.

Purple was actually the color of the sunset, I had to tone it down a bit to get this.

Editing: B&C, color adjustment, dodging/burning, neat image, size, selective sharpening/blurring, border.

The colors are pretty, but the clarity doesn't measure up to your past efforts. Time to hire a new model, Thomas. ;-)

I thought this might have been the Oregon coast. I did the PCH drive last year and it was spectacular. I recommend it to anyone. Beautiful picture. The white waves really help, giving it a nice contrast.

Nice late light works well with the mistiness of the scene. Peaceful and elegant.

An old familiar landmark here at DPC? :-)

Love the Oregon coast... perfect time to shoot... the warm cast from the sunset is great... well done!

Seems disorganised - I get no sense of the real subject of the shot - the Haystack? The haze? The light? Lacking clarity and I can't see that the noise helps anything - it's too orthodix a scene to be a dirty image.

good balance lighting needs to be more intense

Challenge link: strong.

Image critique: beautiful morning light is its main strength but the subject is lovely. This just lacks a bit of 'pop' for me. The central feature is awkward with its peak butting up to the ridge line, so I would have tried to avoid this by crouching very low. A lower POV may have added some extra dimension too rather than the more conventional eye-level.

Out-of-challenge appeal: yes, it's pretty but not magnetic enough to pull me back for long

For me the fog didn't help this image.

i don't think this is one of the better interpretations of haystack. you might want to look through zoomdak's work for some other treatments of this subject.
