Tied to the Tracks!!!!!!!!!by boyte1Comment: This is a pretty good interpretation of the challenge. Nice focus on the train, a little soft on the victim (IMHO). I would have liked a little more DOF. As far as composition, is that really a train (you're too close to tell what it is...)? Is she really on train tracks (looks like a barn floor or something)? The glasses and the t-shirt kinda detract from the feel you get with the B/W treatment here also. Still a great entrie! |

Short Circuitby KonadorComment: Hope that's the old camera. Like to know the details here. Focus is a little soft but hey your shooting through some mystery substance... |

Bye Byeby jmritzComment: I don't get the title, but it is dream like. Nice focus and interesting use of over saturation. |

Ever Hit Bottom?by backslashComment: This has got to be the worse focus I've ever voted on...(JUST KIDDING). Very interesting. I'm betting it's a trampoline! |

The Shadowby thelselComment: This is an awesome example of where the grain of a higher ISO works very well! Great expression! |

Building His Dream Carby dsa157Comment: This looks like a stock foto so will critique as such. Focus is nice one the nands/glue/car! Not sure I like the apparent desaturation down to the red car. IHMO in this shot I would like the color back. The glue tube is backwards. Would raher not see the UPC
(Not DPC legal) After voting of course...get rid of the (clone out?) the counter top under the kids left hand. |

Dreaming at work = A big nightmare.by cimarron98Comment: I'm sorry to say this shot doesn't work for me. I like the Idea but this didn't 'pop'. There is a lot of noise in the image. This to me means (and I may be wrong) that the ISO is too high. Focus is good! Who is sitting on the left side??? You can just see from knees down. This terribly detracts from the shot. Who sleeps with someone sitting behind them watching them??? More light, different crop, a touch of sharpening and a little more color (B/W???) and this could work. |

Dreamship - the Flying Dutchmanby johnmkComment: I love what you were trying in this shot but the modern stuff ruins the effect for me. Maybe if you coulda moved around a bit or done more with the 'croping'... I do want to know how you got the nice round "framing" on this one. I know how it's done on film but how did you do it here??? Don't know if it woulda been possible from your potential vantage points but if ya woulda got just the tall ship and some coast and the roundness of the shot it would have been a 9! |
