It's In The Eyesby K-RobComment: Interresting use of shallow DOF here. Makes the weiner dog look even longer somehow! Nice lighting, but the catch light in the eyes is a little too much. Nicely done pet portrait!

sophisticatedby hopperComment: One of the few shots to use the technique of centering the subjects eyes in the frame! Nearly flawless lighting. Wonderfully subtle soft focus. Only thing I think detracts slightly is the pose. I keep expecting to see her gnawing on her finger nails. Nice shot overall though!

Low-Key Rembrant Lightby JoelHSmithComment: Awesome job of capturing a 'school picture' looking photograph! Nice catch light and nearly flawless (though a little dull) lighting! However, the pose is a little unimaganitive and I can't get a feel for his character. It doesn't tell me much about the subject. Does that make sense?

Captain George Highlighted.by graphicfunkComment: Very nice portrait! Great job of capturing the depth in his face. The colors, especially the skin tones, seem a little flat though. Maybe needs more light? Maybe needs a boost in levels? Making skin tones right is not my forte unfortunately...

Brideby grigrigirlComment: A very lovely bride I must say! Something about this shot doesn't look right though. She looks a little plastic, almost like a manequine. Did you use Neat Image on this? The detail in the veil is also just not there...

Great Grandpa,Chuck and his story book.by camelotnorthComment: Very nice shot. I like how you capture the character of his face. The older generations are so photogenic! Your background is a little distractiong. It either needs more light so you can really see it, or less light to make it less eye catching. Your lighting could be toned down just a touch on the subject too. All in all a very nice shot though!

Photographers portraitby birgirComment: Would love to see what the background really looks like here! Probably the best job of lighting the background for effect that I've seen in this challenge. The subject however is a tad bit too dark. A little fill light to bring out the detail in his pants and a little catch light would make this the bomb!

My Brother Daveby bobdaveantComment: LIghting is just a touch harsh here, making the face a little flatter than I would normally like. You did a great job of capturing his personality though. Looks like a fun loving individual!

Margaretby melismaticaComment: Every time I look at this, I try and figure out just how old she is. The lighting, costume and old school portrait framing, make it hard to determine! Great shot.
