Very nice portrait. Lipstick seems out of place on such a young girl though (may have been meant to add to the "attitude", but I think the rolling eyes would have sufficed nicely, especially for those of us with teenagers. Great lighting and focus :) 9

Joe Cool! Great composition and colors. (the booties don't quite blend with the rest of the scene - looks too warm to me for those) Like how the dog is looking to the side instead of straight ahead. 9 from me :)

Great photo. Very good tones/shadows in the rose and good detail in the wood. I think this would have been the best of the rose/wood photos in the AA challenge if you had entered it.

Thanks everyone for the great comments and scores! A PB for me and my first HM!

I think that I should have titled this photo a little more directly, because the effect I was going for was pasta so hot it was smoking, not just steaming. Most people thought that I was trying to show steam (which I probably should have done). My first idea fot a title, "Hot Pasta", has been used many times, so I avoided that one. Looking back I should have gone with something more direct like "Smoking Hot Pasta".
