that midframe shadow, placed so well..it makes the shot...the lines pull you right into the place. It also balances the vast nature of that sky!

| The sky here and the mood it creates really makes the image. I think the photo is awesome- definitely in the style of Ansel Adams. Perhaps a good entry for "single tree" =D |

| Wonderful sky. The lines in this shot are really powerful. The tree feels a little overpowered by its surroundings. |

| Beautiful picture. Blurry clouds is not a feature you see in most Adams photos, he did not use much shallow DOF, maybe because the available equipment in those days did not allow for it. |
