Haystacks - A Tribute to the Impressionist Masterby ColeyComment: I like the perspective and the long cast shadows. exposure is right on and makes for a very pleasant pastoral scene. One can image why Monet and others found such haystacks an inspiration as the light and textures are interesting and constantly changing. |

Breaking Throughby muur88Comment: although this must have been an interesting sight to see in person, I don't think it translated very well into an image of interest. The water is pretty featureless, as is the foreground. My eye is certainly led to the setting sun, but I can't really see any of what I assume were interesting details in the sky. |

Summer Daysby dan_pendletonComment: cute scene of the girls. I like how they are completely oblivious of one another as they run around a pretty green yard. |

Lancing Collegeby marboComment: I like the lighting on the building and thre dark, rickly colored night sky. I think you could have cropped out more of the silouetted featureless foreground though. |

Granite Totemsby rcrawfordComment: This seems like a nice enough scene but doesn't really capture my attention in any special way. I think taking the shot in the middle of the day, even given the pretty blue sky, did bring out the interesting textures and details in the rock. |

The Guitaristby timj351Comment: I like the lighting and grain here. It has a very griity, live performance feel to it, so you have captured the mood of the event well. Not sure I like how the musician's head is vut off in the frame, but I generally like tightly cropped shots, so i don't think it is too much of a distraction. |

Wish I Knew What You Were Thinkingby flip89Comment: great details and expression. tonal range could be more extensive - the image does have a gray washed out look to it, but it is a very nice animal portrait. |
