Old woman with pumpkinsby GiorgioComment: Quiet an eastern European ambiance - could easily illustrate a fairy tale. The pale squashes add a melancholy accent to the mood. |

Owl with Attitude by bassboneComment: Yellow eyes grab attention, complimented by the red mouth, while the detail preserved in the feathers gives the eye lots to explore. Very well done. |

Beach Artby wildirisComment: Just enought texture to keep it from being flat, with fantastic colors and delicacy. Worthy of repeated examination. 9. |

The Young Harpistby stevieianComment: Beautiful girl and technically wonderful exposure. In most free studies, portraits almost never survive to the highest scores, but this one goes in my top four images of this challenge. |

Desert by AliciaComment: The processing really makes the background hills look painted (sometimes I've seen desert hills approximate that with no processing, which makes this all the more fun), and the middle glows with a shade of green that is beautiful in a desert setting. |

Day 27 - Thanksgiving!!by bs-photosComment: Classic family gathering shot with just the right mixture of expressions and varying degrees of being comfortable or not. Very nice use of available light for a group portrait. Everyone will want a copy. |

Happy Thanksgivingby robinssongComment: Nice separation of subject and background despite similar color tones. Using the darker end of the scale fits well with the idea of bad times for turkeys. Having the head closer to the side the bird is facing makes me envision this one walking away from it all. |

Marshby AliciaComment: The visual complexity from the overlays turns this image into something that makes you stop and think about all the stories that might have led up to this particular time. |
