Together We Stand, Divided We Fallby akcoffeeguyComment: industrial/metallic shots are a favorite for me. that you chose springs is also a hit in terms of ingenuity. technically the detail is great. b&W is a good choice, too. the starkness of contrast helps to say how crucial it is to stay united. lovely overall. high marks. |

Working in the Skyby BAMartinComment: nice coloring of the shot. perspective is nice, though i wonder if it could have been more leading. |

Ships Propellerby mdevosComment: very interesting subject! i'm wondering how the colors could've been brought out better. the blue, yellow and red is ideal for color contrasts. |

Even Trees Will Cryby yyyapComment: To answer some of the questions. 1) Yes - the bluecast was intentional. It was done using white balance on fluorescent light, and a blue filter. I hoped the blue would give it the dark night/deathly feel. 2) Yes - the 'transition' was one of technology/construction replacing nature. Hence the 'cry' of the trees being bulldozed away. The transition was much more in my mind/heart than in the photo. It would've been too much to expect anyone to 'see' what I saw as transition. Thanks for taking the time, though, to try and figure it out. Especially to those who came back for a second look. That alone is gratifying! |
