Hot Hot Hot by rickhd13Comment: Well I hope you did nt get any comments that say you dont meet the challenge. I really like shots where you have to be in the right place at the right time, and you certainly were. ( well unless you set the fire -kidding). I find the falling timber in all directions most interesting to look at. I also like the contrast of you having left the healthy branch in. nice work. p.s. hope you didn;t suffer smoke inhalation. |

Keeping eggs warmby pitsamanComment: Now what i am really wanting to know is how you got so close to this pigeon?? The perspective really adds, and the sharpness of his head and eyes pretty amazing, I wonder if you shot it in macro mode or portrait and wonder how would of looked in landscape. just curious, nice job. |

Hot, Lazy Afternoonby jjbeguinComment: This shot surely captures the title and topic. Sepia tone, makes it feel old, pre-air-conditioning, and the prescence of the fan emphasizes it all the more. The rumpled bed and discarded papers and leg position certainly make for 'a lazy look'. Normally my preference is for an 'uncluttered' shot, yet I think the items in this pic really add to it. I like it nice work. |

No titleby hortopthComment: When I first looked at your shot, I did not think much of it. And still I think there is too much overexposure from the light through the windows. However, on second look I am gaining much greater appreciation. The 'ordinary' man, his almost devoid expression, the plainness of public transport, speaks to me about average people. All of us plodding along nonchalantly in life and yet we all have a mystery and a story, thanks for the pleasure of your shot, I am glad I looked again. |

unanswered questionsby grigrigirlComment: A simple yet complex photo with great expression, that is certainly inquisitve in nature. Nice lighting and tonalities, slightly over pocessed and/or pixelized under chin. Overall very nice. |

...by kosmikkreeperComment: While a sad 'topic' the photo and the statment are strong and effective in asking the viewer-- why? or what? The lighting is a little too bright on some of sweater, but overall excellent photo. 9 |
