Should have guessed it was yours JJ. More great work, I'm only slightly surprised it didn't score a little higher - but I suspect there aren't enough experienced eyes here to rate this above the what i fnd are rather too obvious shots which placed higher. Eighth ain't so bad though.

This is a nice, contented picture - I like the "vintage" feel it has. Not quite sure why it works for me - I can look at it logically, technically, and not see anything to really say, anything that really stands out to me (at my level of knowledge) - and yet it all comes together very nicely.

great pic, love the choice for sepia on this one. Defintely conveys the image of hot and humid.

This reminds me of something - and it's taken me two days to work out what: a series of photos by Antonin Kratochvil called 'Sideshow'. Those were actually of circus sideshow freaks, but it's the compoitional technique and the darkness and contrast that I'm thinking of. This is the only photo of this challenge which truly communicates a feeling of heat to me: of the desire not to move, the effort even of reading proving too much, the derperation for some movement of air. The lifted skirt just adds that extra element of hunting for the slightest breeze.

Wonderful work.

I love this. It's not your standard "something cold or hot" interpretation of the challenge that many have used, but your shot says "hot" much more than the others, at least to me. The composition is wonderful and all the clutter in the background actually help round off this image. Make it look more real and less staged I guess. Sepia works really well, as does the border. I'm hoping you have a winner here :)

Okay - I've looked at them all and this one is my favorite. This is wonderful! Sonfio? Another ribbon.

Great photo, it's just screaming hot and lazy. I can almost feel the breeze of the fan in the background. Very good, my pick for a top three finish - Gary.

More of the model and the bed and less of the cluter all around. it all just becomes a bit distracting.

I do get the feel of a sultry setting with this shot - I think your choice of color tones worked very. Composition is good. Nice job!

This shot surely captures the title and topic. Sepia tone, makes it feel old, pre-air-conditioning, and the prescence of the fan emphasizes it all the more. The rumpled bed and discarded papers and leg position certainly make for 'a lazy look'. Normally my preference is for an 'uncluttered' shot, yet I think the items in this pic really add to it. I like it nice work.

I like everything about the photo (except one minor detail, the location of the fan).
When its hot, I have it blowing directly on me. My guess is you will be in the top 3...congrats...

My favourite this challenge, the sepia tones work well. You have communicated the heat very well, this picture has a lot of character. I'm not sure about the cropping at the top... too many items seem to have been cut in half. The fan works very well though. Nicely exposed. Great legs! 9
