Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.by smokeditorComment: What dad did you shoot this? I was down with a friend on Saturday. The sky looks right which makes me think we just missed you. :) Nice color! Not sure I like the angle. The trees throw it a bit off balance. Good job getting people on the steps. |

Vietnam War Memorialby svitalComment: One of my favorite memorial sites in DC! Looks like this is a midday shot. The light is pretty harsh and the highlites on the statue are blown out. During late summer it's hard to get a good daylight shot of any of the monuments. Late afternoon is better. :) |

Partnership in Reykjavíkby russiComment: Rainbow filter or excellent capture? Either way, a fab, strong image. Excellent color, great lighting. Right now a 9. May go up on the final round of voting. :) |

Eternal Resting Placeby KonadorComment: Ben, I loved the composition in this. Gave it an 8. :) Pretty decent quality from the T1. I may have to rethink getting myself one.

picture this...by coldaComment: My chief concern with this image is that it's just too busy. You had a great idea, and it was perfect for the challenge. The problem was the conflicting elements that draw you away from the focus of the shot. The second bike outside the frame is distracting. Additionally the cutoff legs at the top of the frame don't add much, and in many ways distract me from the bike.
Waiting just a few minutes more until a body was in the frame with the bike could have made this far stronger. Still great timing on the overall capture. |

Dew and Darknessby mocabelaComment: Nice! I'd like a little less foreground since it's not doing anything for me. But the light is great. :) |

Morning Fogby mocabelaComment: I actually like this one quite a bit. You have three nice strong visual elements in the trees, and I love the mood the fog evokes. You also have an interesting diagonal line going down the middle of the image due to the trees. Well shot. |

Roughby flip89Comment: This shot is all about contrast. Light, shadow, soft and hard, smooth and rough. I like the broody look from the model. I also like the diagonal line you created here. 8 |
