This should have made the top 3, and you didn't even hit top 20.. that's just robbery.. pure and simple.

A favorite, great shot.

The leading lines toward the castle is very effective here.

Returning for comments.
This is just lovely with a foreground that is soothing to the eyes and the senses with the main subject almost like a fairy land rendition, but with such realistic eye stoppers as the eye falls off the main building and veers towards the low, center right. Very pleasing. Bumping up to next level.

Brilliant, excellent, beautiful, stunning... I'll have to go there someday. 10!!

Nice concept with the stone guradrail, but it feels too heavy, it anchors the shot too strongly in the lower right corner. I know this may have ben impossible, but taing the shot from higher up could have eliminated this. Not an easy task unless you carry with you a step ladder :)

A fabulous building, beautiful colours in the sky, and taken at the right time of evening (I presume) - but the rail in the foreground right detracts from the photo. A slightly tighter composition from a different angle with less foreground would have been a great shot.

I love the clouds and their pastel colors. The green-roofed building is also very nice with excellent details. I do find the stone and metal wall/railing to be distracting and overbearing as it commands attention away from the sky and building.

Excellent combination of natural and artificial lighting. I love the colors here and the nice leading line taking me through the image. Well done! 8

I am not sure about my personal opinion of the composition, but I know that I like the fact that it is different. Sky is beautiful. Focus is nice. Good job.

You've taken this at the perfect time of day and the colors are sensational. My suggestion would be to have this shot without the wall - I don't think it adds much to your image.

Excelent and beautiful picture. I would have voted even higher with some cropping at the bottom in order to enphasize the sky and the castle. Anyway I am impressed.

i really like how you've captured the lighting on the building. i also like your use of leading lines with the wall in the foreground.

I like the wall leading to the subject, good composition. For a travel guide I think I might try to find a view of the building that did not have the builing blocking it, that is if it is possible. Overall good shot.

What a unique perspective! I love the lighting and the color of the sky.

Very very nearly ... but that foreground-most section of wall is just too intrusive, without really adding much in drama or visual interest for me. Shot from that touch closer, using the steel rrail as your leading line, I could see this scoring fabulously well. Great exposure, details, light, subject.

This is something I'd expect to find on the cover of *any* Quebec City brochure or travel magazine.. It's a wonderfully lit shot with gorgeous tones and the perfect feel for this "wintery" city.. known for it's annual winter festival.

The wall draws the viewer into the scene and the sunset and lights on the chateau whisk you into the destination. My favorite shot of the challenge. Great work!
