The Blood Hells -- Beppu, Japanby debitiptonComment: This strongly reminds me of a Japaneese painting. Amazing colors, and a nice tree balancing things out. II'd consider doing a bit of a patch job in the lower left corner and possibly clone out the stick nexto/under the tree. I think those changes would make the image that much stronger. 9 |

Windows of Paradiseby traserComment: This is making me think Kenny Chesney. Beautiful sand and amazing water. The exposure is very good cinsidering the difficulty of exposing all that white correctly. I love the feeling of motion created by the waves. I think the best choice you made here was in being off center. It really emphasizes the different textures and colors. 10 |

Boathousesby WarbyComment: I confess, I'm a color junkie. I love the colors in this shot. The interesting shape of the houses compliments the curving lines along the shoreline. This would be a great place to shoot at sunet. Beautifully done. 9 |

"The Kiss"by bongoComment: This is a great portrait without faces. The slight lift of the woman's heel tells the story of the image. Great choice in tones for the image. |

"Lightning Strikes" by briphotoComment: Having spent a good deal of time trying to catch lightning, I have oodles of appreciation for people who do this successfully. You need a slight CCW rotation to level out the ground. The colors are amazing, and I like the way you cropped. Very, very cool image. Hats off to you. 9 |

The Forbidden Cityby kyeboshComment: Nice use of leading lines. This would benifit from shooting a bit earlier or a bunch later in the day. The problem with winter light is it's not always the most attractive. ::) Well seen. OI want to visit China now. |
