Great shot. The DOF was perfect for the depth of the arches.

Jeremy,
Congratulations on the success of this very fine image. I may have under-voted it at 7 the first time round ... now that I have had a second look I see even more good qualities. The very nice shadows at the outer edge of the arches and down the pillars is one more positive feature I failed to give due credit for during the challenge. I think 8 might have been a better score. I am interested in the conflicting views about the inclusion of the person's figure, expressed in the comments below. I have tried the shot with and without, and I have no doubt you were certainly correct to include her. The figure gives both scale and life to the image. I can almost hear her footsteps! So well done. I learned quite a bit from studying your image. Thanks. Paul.

Watched you take this and I like it very much. Glad there is no frame. The passerby adds a nice perspective. I am not a fan of thin crops, but this works well to accentuate the repeated pattern of the arches. Much good luck, Jeremy. I hope it does well! Mine sucks to high heaven so you should certainly have me beat.

Similar to my entry. I like the repeating patterns, and the person to add some scale. Very cool.

Great Perspective...Would have personally preferred it without the lady, but still a nice shot.

Very nice composition and an effective tribute to this fine arched walkway. I like the fact that you were not tempted to crop off the tops of the first two arches, to avoid the two "see through" fragments. They add to the interest. 7.

People try these kind of shots often, but don't always get it right - this is very well done.
