Great use of an upwards angle, really adds to the composition, and the over-exposure helps give that feeling of having just fallen down. 7

Technically good, but feels a little bit flat - a change in angle (perhaps from a lower point looking up?) or changing the DOF to focus more on the bear would help liven up the shot. 6.

Wow, my previous best shot was of my right hand, and now my best shot is of my left hand! I must be onto something here ;o)

This shot, as per the details, was done using a very long shutter timing, and was lit solely by an anglepoise lamp reflected off a wall. The timings of the pencil movement took practice to get the right effect, and eventually I found that 3 seconds per 'hit' for the first two and two seconds per hit for the other three worked about right - the dark background meant the pencil didnt need to be there as long as the ones with my arm behind.

Just for the record, I used the JMSetzler 'How did they do that' thingy for his 'Quitting Time' shot to work out how to get the effect, so my advice is for you to read them! :o) Other than that, thank's for your comments and votes, and please PM me if you want further details...

A shot full of feelings of apprehension - good composition, great choice of lighting (the gloomy doorway is perfect), and a cunning title ;o) Gotta give it a 10...

Creative idea, more so than many this week! The motion blur works well, just a shame we can't see a bit more of the dough... and those hairy arms look familiar ;o) Gets a 9 from me

At first glance, this image didn't interest me, but after a few seconds the layers of colour within the peeling paint intrigued me. The composition of the horizontal bands is good, and the only thing detracting from the image (IMO) are the shadows in the lower band, but I guess that can't be helped :o) Gets a 9 from me.

I'm sure this has already been said, but it needs focus! :o) The lighting is good as far as I can tell, though perhaps a lower angle would have picked up more of the relief across the surface (but its hard to tell without the object in focus).
