Definitely interesting, but I find the jet-black shapes in the background distracting. I'd prefer a tighter crop and all the background either jet black or that mottled dark gray, but not a mix. Also a subtle splash of light on the two faces might give the viewer's eye more to hang onto, without ruining the lovely intemacy. In any case, a daring attempt that is undoubtedly too "arty" for many DPC'ers, but keep it up!

A lot like my entry in Nude I. Although I too am a fan of simple abstract subjects, I think you are stretching the envelope by limiting yourself to just the shape of the outline. I would have included at least some elements of skin texture, 3D shape defined by shadows, or possibly color contrast (with a non-black background).

Such wonderful freckles! Shallow DOF works well and pose too. I sort of like the lighting, but at the same time I wish the foreground highlights (her breasts, the bed) were whiter. Not sure if it's the blueish cast that's bothering me, or if they just need to be brighter. 8

I bet this photo would make a fabulous poster. I'ts well composed and lit, and the concept is great. But when it's only 640 pixels tall, it leaves me wishing you had made the model a larger part of the frame. Then the contrast between her smooth skin and the tangle of plants would have been more obvious.

Well executed version of a common idea (in fact, somewhat similar to my entry in Nude I). I like the texture and shallow DOF (great bokeh!). Only complaint is a little bit of banding in the colors, in particular the foreground switches too quickly from a reddish hue to a greenish hue.
