Frank BeckmanComment: (1) COMPOSITION -CONTENT - I look at this, and I cannot be sure what you want me to focus on. The title says âIrish Mossâ, and I donât know what that really is. When I look at the photo, I see two subjects â the two large leaves on the right, and the finer vegetation on the right. In addition, all the bright spots to the right of the leaves are distracting to me.
(2) BACKGROUND - See comment above. The photo is very busy. Lots of things to look at, and I donât think that all of them are your primary subject.
(3) CAMERA WORK -TECHNICAL â The primary areas all appear to be in focus, and properly processed. Iâm guessing that you used the on-camera flash. All the resulting bright spots are highly distracting. This may have been eliminated with more indirect lighting; though I can understand where this may have been difficult to get.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING - TECHNICAL - Looks pretty good to me.
(5) YOUR OPINION ON THE PHOTO - Overall, an average ,but good, photo. The positives â a unique subject photographed technically well, are balanced by the negatives â whatâs the main subject, and the multiple spotty bright reflections.
