Flora de Africaby K-RobComment: Interesting how the plant looks to be suspended in the air like that. I wonder how this was done. A mirror perhaps? Or hung by a string? I like the detail on the leaves and the richness in the colours. |

Gossipingby KonadorComment: Wonderful lighting and colours. I like the focus on the two front flowers. Cute title. :) |

Forestby AntithesisComment: Wow those are pretty large bamboos. Did you consider shooting upwards? That probably would provide a more interesting point of view than just straight on. |

Raindropsby friscaComment: Hey Pam,
I agree with some of the comments below on that the photo is a little overexposed and the focus not spot on. But I still think this is a good capture and deserving of a higher placement that what you got. Glad to see you are still entering. Keep up the good work!

100° Fahrenheit effectsby La-LunaComment: There are two distracting elements in this image: the electricity wires and the label on the water bottle. I think this is a very great idea and illustrates well the effects of weather for me. I like the accessories worn by the subject here and the colours of her skin, hair, straw hat against the blue sky background. |

Something's Brewingby JackoComment: Without a doubt this is my favourite weather submission. It's going in as one of my favourite photos as soon as the voting is over. That's how much I like this! The clouds are picture perfect, very soft looking, fluffly like white cotton candy, and possess both highlights and shadows. I also like the slim strip of land shown on the bottom and the slight reflections of what appears to be a river or lake. Fantastic shot! |

Escaping the Heatby jitamsComment: Cute little critter. This is a good photograph (nice use of DOF, diffused lighting, nice highlights in the eyes, composition) but I don't feel it meets the weather challenge. I try to judge the merits of a photograph itself. If I need the title to tie the submission to the challenge, then I don't feel the submission qualifies for the challenge topic, which is the case here. |
