An Icelandic fire skyby sissiComment: Don't really like the positioning of that bush - too central for me - I would have wanted to use it to frame the brightest portion of the sky and to be more strongly silhouetted - which might have allowed a shorter exposure to prevent the burn-out as well. Still a good image. |

Between Stormsby ScottKComment: Fabulous distance in this shot, a real sense of scale. Whilst the very low horizon really helps the sense of hight, I wonder if you haven't perhaps excluded too much of the ground - as I look, I really want to see something more foreground-y. Minor point, though, but foreground elements can really 'place' landscape shots. |

Storm Damageby bjc0001Comment: Gosh, I don't know about this shot at all. It looks like a snapshot, but then it's too well composed for that. Like the contrast of the lines of the swing and slide with the broken tree, like the angle. Everything slightly 'wrong' by the accepted 'rules', but it works. i bet this is one of those shots that you really like and can't quite work out why. Or maybe I'm under-estimating you. |

A Tornado did thisby STEINRComment: Oh? Just looks like it's falling over. What I mean is, I don't think you need to be quite so explicit in your title. ;-) As to the shot: I find the other buildings distracting somehow, and the light quite flat - as in uninteresting. It maybe the focus, but there's a lack of texture here too. IMO. |

Late afternoonby Stephen CleggComment: Rothko-esque. :-) I like this, as an image. Not sure it meets my personal criteria of 'photograph', perhaps. Maybe it's Burt Reynolds finally coming round? |

rainby jblharshawComment: Wonderful evocative shot: the lines are rain falling, yes? Proper miserable photo. Good work - and love your positioning of the lamp-post - great use of a much misunderstood technique. |

Lonely summer eveningby shutterbugComment: The tilted horizon is a huge distraction in such a simple shot. Looks also like it could have borne a fraction longer exposure - though that would perhaps have lost some colour: though you'd gain more reflection and light on the water which would bring it into the composition more than it is at present. |

Escaping the Heatby jitamsComment: Hehe. Fabulous entry for this week's challenge! Despite title (I don't like it when the title has to explain a shot's relevance entirely), I can't see this as a weather shot as the challenge is stated. Hope you can get another one for this week! |

Weathered Wavesby kcwhisper379Comment: Looks like a Fuji over-exposed sky moment. In fact, I feel the whole shot is over-exposed - could surely have been darker and not harmed your point, in fact might have emphasised those patterns, and lost some of the distraction of the plants. |
