I like the photo, but the mood doesn't completely reflect the title. A world out of balance, to me, should be a little more chaotic. This photo is a bit too balanced in the sense that the lighting is set straight as is the composition.

This image really does say a lot towards meeting the challenge. You're score and placement in the challenge is a result.

The composition is very creative. The selective desaturation was a good idea, not too much to make it obvious but enough that adds some contrast in the photo.

I do like the added saturation, it makes the pieces pop out along with the local contrast adjustments you made. It may be a little too sharp though.

Finally, the border does add a little something extra to the photo; I like it.
