Just like momby BrennanOBComment: The image is a bit flat for me - nothing really jumps out. I'd like to focus on the face, but focus seems soft there. "Diagonal" seems to have been used loosely here, too. I'm pretty much a newbie here, though, so take my comments with a grain of salt - just 'cause I'm being critical doesn't mean I think MY work is any beter! |

Lost My Marblesby MelonMusketeerComment: The flat angle & lighting doesn't do much for me; I'm left with a feeling that is more of confusion than interest. I'm pretty much a newbie here, though, so take my comments with a grain of salt! |

Shellaby BeckyTComment: This one's a bit washed out & a little soft. I'm distracted by the leaves over her head & the hairs in front of her eyes. I'm pretty much a newbie here, though so take my comments with a grain of salt. |

Soylent Green (1973)by shamerComment: After it was too late, I knew DOF & deliberate exposure boosting was gonna hurt me on this one. Didn't realize this movie was that obscure, though... Message edited by author 2007-08-26 10:48:14. |

Amazonian Memoirby shamerComment: Thanks to everyone for the nice comments - I joined DPC a few weeks ago & this was my second entry. This was VERY last minute - submitted shortly before the challenge was closed. Message edited by author 2007-08-26 10:45:04. |

Midtown from Piedmontby jenesisComment: Bracketing your exposure here would have given you more options in post - the sky is completely lost on the left side. This one is a prime example for HDR techniques. Nice framing, though -the railing really completes the image for me. |
