Amazing timing to have this happen during the challenge. Unfortunately the highlights are blown out and the foliage in the foreground distracts the eye rather than framing the shot.

Excellent effect with the left side of the picture completely verticle and the right on the angle. Was this taken with a very wide angle lens and then rotated, or were the different sections manipulated independently? Very nice lighting, contrast, and focus.

Lovely portrait. I agree with all these comments. I noticed that no one has mentioned your hand. For some reason my eye keeps returning to it. I don't know if that is good or bad for the composition (I'm no expert), but it is a lovely hand. I assume that's your wedding band in the absolute center of the photo -- rather significant, planned or not.

We had a bichon for 16.5 years and miss him terribly. This is a real blast from the past -- stained mustache and all! Oh yeah, and nice photo too. Hard not to blow out the details with white on white.
